Office of Academic Affairs

Welcome to Tallahassee Community College (TCC) Office of Academic Affairs, and thank you for making TCC your college of choice!  At TCC, we are committed to instructional excellence and your success.  We have a world class faculty ready to serve you.  TCC employs approximately 200 fulltime faculty and 400 adjuncts that are committed to delivering the highest quality instruction.  We offer courses and programs that fit the varied lifestyles of our students.

Whether you are first time in college, returning to college, desire to transfer to a university or simply want to enhance your readiness for the workforce, you can get there from here.  TCC offers over 70 academic degree and certificate programs and offers unique transfer opportunitiets with area unversities to ensure your academic progress and success and completion.

Academic Divisions


The Office of Academic Affairs encompasses the Library, the Center for Professional EnrichmentTCC Online and 8 academic divisions. Each area plays an integral part in ensuring student success.   

In addition to academic divisions, students may also find it advantageous to learn about academic computing resources and academic enrichment opportunities that also support the success of TCC students.     

Academic Calendars 

The Academic Calendar is approved annually by the TCC Board of Trustees. Academic semester and session begin and end dates, holidays, exams days, and the annual graduation commencement day. These dates and registration, withdrawal, financial aid deadlines can be found in the Online Academic Calendar.    

Faculty Credentials Manual

Annually, the Office of Academic Affairs publishes a Faculty Credentials Manual (.pdf) that provides technical and procedural clarification for individuals responsible for faculty selection and credentialing. The procedures, forms, and general information within are consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Faculty Credentials Guidelines and Comprehensive Standard 3.7.1 in the Principles of Accreditation.
